Abstract

Ombudsman is an organization that receives complaints from citizens in a state against public administration problems. It first emerged in Sweden in the 18th century. Today, it is applied in all contemporary states and in different states on other continents. Natural law is also a theory that produces ideas on law, justice and rights, which has survived to the present day as a legal tradition of thousands of years. The relationship between contemporary natural law and analytical philosophy, especially of English and Anglo-Saxon origin, is presented in the study with a contribution from the ombudsman. In this respect, it can be said that there is a deep connection between natural law and the ombudsman. It is thought that this connection and other explanations provide a very important method in the context of theory and concept generation. This study aims to establish the cultural/philosophical foundations of the ombudsmanance, which was previously introduced to the literature, with natural law. Ombudsmanance affects natural law, especially through the subjective understanding of natural rights. The method of the study is a literature review. According to the results of the study; ombudsmanance contributes to the contemporary natural law tradition through ombudsman theory. It brings morality and justice to the basis of the logic of law production.
